Gervinho Signing Near Completed

He's gonna have to do something with that hair.

     It looks like (as the title explains) Gervinho is nearly an Arsenal player. It is no longer a matter of if, but when he officially signs. I know it's been said numerous times that Gervinho was on the verge of signing for us, but then nothing happened for a week.
     Rumor is that Arsenal were in talks with Lille two weeks ago and they reached an agreement, but the talks (momentarily) broke down so that Lille could find a replacement first in Dimitri Payet.
     Now that Lille has found a replacement, apparently talks are nearly finished, and the fee would be for around 12 million. Not a bad price, when you look at his stats for Ligue 1's Champions:

34 Games
14 Goals
10 Assists

     Not only that, last night Gervinho won the "Ivory Coast Footballer of the Year" award. He received a staggering 25 out of 25 votes from sport writers, and 7,045 of 12,738 from an online fan poll. We can only hope he will win it again next season!
